There are 4 levels
Music for Little
Mozarts is a 2 year program. The time required for
completion of each of the four levels varies from student to
student.
On average each level can be completed in 18 to 22
weeks. The course centres around Beethoven Bear and Mozart
Mouse as they learn about music. Course materials at each of
the 4 levels include a Music Lesson Book, Work Book,
Discovery Book, and Compact Disc.
40 minute
lesson each week
Music for Little Mozarts combines general musicianship
activities with those that develop performance skills at the
piano. Skills taught in the course focus on keyboard
technique, singing, rhythm, movement and music appreciation.
Children will play pieces at the piano throughout each
level. The course works equally well in private or group
lessons.

What is the role of the parent?
Parents must keep in close contact with the teacher and
share in the learning process. Some teachers even encourage
parents to attend lessons. Parents must supervise practice
and read directions to the student. In addition to practice
sessions at the piano, parents should discuss the course
work with the child and listen to the compact discs together
as a family.
What is the role of the children?
To attend lessons each week. After each lesson your child
will get an assignment to be completed for the next week. To
get the most out of Music for Little Mozarts, children
should practice daily for 10 to 15 minutes. And - to have
fun!
What is the role of the teacher?
The teacher will have patience and enthusiasm to plan
carefully for each lesson. The relationship with the child
comes before the method - if the child likes the teacher,
he/she will like the music. |
